Ceramic Tile PhotoAt Persian Rug Galleries, we don't just sell ceramic tile. Before we even begin discussing price, I'll ask you where you're putting it, what's going to be supporting it, and a lot of other questions, too. After all, this is New England - it's cold in the winter, and ceramic tile may not be the right answer to your flooring questions. It's a demanding material. For example, tiles need at least 1.25 inches of sturdy sub-flooring to remain securely in place. You have to make sure the construction of the home can handle the weight of the flooring and its need for stability.

Working with the best
The key to a successful tile floor installation is to start with quality materials. At Persian Rug Galleries, we carry a full line of ceramic and natural stone products - everything from granite and limestone to marble and porcelain. And if we don't have it in stock, we can get it for you so the installation job can be scheduled without delay.

We have ongoing relationships with a hand-picked group of suppliers, such as Florida Tile, American Olean, and Marazzi, to ensure consistency in everything you purchase from Persian Rug Galleries. We carry a full line of granite and marble samples so you can see and feel what the stone is like - browsing through a catalog is no substitute before you commit to installing this kind of material.

Part art and part science
We also have the expertise to handle the tricky job of installing a tile floor. It's an exacting art in which there's a tremendous need for expertise to avoid problems. For example, did you know what would happen if you cut a piece of green marble and installed it in a floor immediately? If you said the tile would crack, you're right. Marble has "veins" that absorb the water or coolant during the cutting process, so you have to wait until the stone dries thoroughly (usually overnight) before setting it.

It's that kind of care and attention to detail that you'll get when you bring your questions about tile and stone to Persian Rug Galleries.
